RapidHeat heater seen from an angle, showing the wall plug at the back and the grille

Quick answer

RapidHeat plugs straight into a wall socket. You set the temperature, fan speed and timer on the top panel or with the supplied five-button remote (power, −, +, Speed, Timer). A fan pushes air across a ceramic element to warm the room.

Remote control and top panel

The supplied remote has five buttons: power, − and + to change the set temperature, Speed for the fan setting, and Timer. The top panel shows a two-digit readout and has touch controls for the timer and adjustment.

Wall-plug design

The plug is built into the back, so the heater sits flush against the wall with no flex. The seller describes the plug as swivelling 180° and as a UK 3-pin plug. Check the socket is free and the front and sides are kept clear.

Ceramic element and fan

Behind the grille, a fan pushes room air across a ceramic heating element, then back out as warm air. This is how fan heaters work. The warmth is felt soon after switching on, mainly in front of the unit.

Getting started

  • Plug the heater straight into a wall socket. Fan heaters are best not run from extension leads.
  • Switch on and set the temperature with + and − on the remote or panel.
  • Use Speed to change the fan setting and Timer to choose when it switches off.
  • Read the supplied manual for the full safety instructions.

Frequently asked questions

How do I use the RapidHeat remote?

The remote has five buttons: power, minus, plus, Speed and Timer. Use plus and minus to set the temperature, Speed for the fan level and Timer to switch off automatically.

Does RapidHeat have a thermostat?

Yes. You set a target temperature and the heater cycles to hold it, which also helps keep running costs down.

Does RapidHeat have a timer?

Yes, there is a timer on the panel and the remote so it can switch itself off.

Can the plug rotate?

The seller shows a rotating plug so the heater stays upright in different socket positions. Check it sits flush in your socket.

Is it noisy?

It uses a fan, so expect a gentle hum. If you're sensitive to noise, warm the room before you sleep.
